Welcome to the heartbeat of Charlotte. Where retro mixes with contemporary, historical bumps up against trendy, and art intersects commerce. Result: a pulsing, vibrant neighborhood in the city with meteoric growth. Okay, it also doesn’t hurt being close to Uptown, the airport, major highways, and smack dab on the LYNX light rail line.
Still, it’s the quirky coolness of South End that’s so captivating. Beginning in the 1850s and reborn in the 1990s, today’s South End 2.0 is unique. As a place to live, to shop, to dine, to work, to party, to chill, there’s really nothing else like it in town. Start your explorations here, click away all you want. Then get down here in person. And get lost.

$500 Reward to Stop Graffiti in South End
CMPD, Crime Stoppers and South End have teamed up to help address the graffiti problems in South End. Effective immediately, we are offering a reward that will pay up to $500 for information that leads to the arrest of any person or persons responsible for graffiti in South End. This reward is unique to South End and we are purposefully taking a more grass roots and word of mouth approach rather than broadcast from a media platform.
Offering a reward is not the only solution for addressing graffiti. It is crucial that once a building has been tagged, that the owner remove the graffiti as quickly as possible. Graffiti artists live to see and for others to see their “handiwork” so its important to have it removed as quickly as possible. Your efforts, combined with a reward structure to arrest these folks is key to addressing this problem.
Below is the flier from Crime Stoppers which provides a number of ways for you to report the crime. If you have any questions please let me know and please spread the word!
